The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver specialty on Tioman lets you extend your no-decompression limits and enjoy longer, more relaxed dives across the island's many sites. This mostly dry course teaches you to analyse and dive with enriched air safely, which is handy when you want to fit more bottom time into a busy day of diving Tioman's reefs and wrecks.
PADI Enriched Air Diver is the agency's most popular specialty and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. It certifies you to dive standard nitrox mixes up to 40 percent oxygen.
The nitrox course is largely a dry, classroom session at the dive centre on Tioman. Enriched air pays off most on the island's deeper reef and wreck sites, where it extends your no-decompression time during the March-to-October season.
