The PADI Instructor Development Course takes you from leading dives to teaching them on the UNESCO-listed reefs of Baa Atoll in the Maldives. Candidates rehearse classroom, confined-water and open-water teaching presentations in the warm lagoons around Dharavandhoo before sitting the independent Instructor Examination. You finish qualified to certify your own students within the worldwide PADI professional network.
The PADI IDC trains and assesses you against PADI standards, then prepares you for the Instructor Examination. The IE is run independently by a PADI Examiner. Once you pass it you become a teaching member of PADI with a renewable instructor rating and access to the global PADI jobs network.
Teaching workshops use the sheltered house reefs and channels near Dharavandhoo in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Warm 27-30°C water and easy conditions give a forgiving setting to rehearse before you certify real students.
