The PADI Instructor Development Course at Nusa Penida moves you from leading dives to teaching them, qualifying you to certify new divers worldwide. You build your teaching presentations against some of Indonesia's most demanding water. The drift currents of Toyapakeh and the cold Mola Mola thermoclines of Crystal Bay sharpen your judgement and risk management. You finish ready to sit the Instructor Examination and join the worldwide community of PADI professionals.
The PADI IDC trains and assesses you against PADI standards, then prepares you for the Instructor Examination, which a PADI Examiner runs independently. Pass the IE and you become a teaching member of PADI with a renewable instructor rating, access to professional insurance and the worldwide PADI jobs network.
Teaching workshops run at sheltered Nusa Penida and Lembongan sites like Sampalan, Sental and Toyapakeh. Dives at Crystal Bay and Manta Point in the calm April-to-November season build the current and cold-water judgement an instructor needs. The Instructor Examination itself is run separately by a PADI Examiner at a designated IE location.
