Course overview

See Kadmat's reef change after dark with the PADI Night Diver specialty. As the sun sets over the Lakshadweep atoll, day creatures retreat and nocturnal hunters appear. Over three dives you learn light handling, night navigation and communication while the reef comes alive with crustaceans, hunting fish and bioluminescence.

What you’ll learn

• Plan, organise and conduct a night dive safely
• Enter, exit and navigate the reef in the dark
• Use a primary and backup dive light and light signals
• Communicate with your buddy using torch signals
• Identify nocturnal marine life and behaviour
• Maintain buoyancy and orientation with limited visual reference

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12
• PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver or equivalent
• Comfortable basic buoyancy and navigation
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician
