Course overview

The PADI Night Diver specialty shows you how the reef transforms after dark off Mauritius's west coast. Diving from Flic-en-Flac, you learn to manage lights, navigate and communicate at night while encountering nocturnal hunters like octopus, moray eels and lobster on reefs that look entirely different under torchlight. You finish certified to dive safely after sunset.

Where you'll dive in Mauritius

Sheltered west-coast reefs off Flic-en-Flac, calm and well-lit by day, become rich nocturnal habitats after dark, when octopus, morays and other hunters emerge. The settled November-to-April season gives the calm seas that make night dives comfortable.
