The PADI Night Diver specialty shows you Rasdhoo Atoll after dark, exploring reefs that change once the sun sets and nocturnal hunters take over. You learn to dive safely at night using lights and communication signals on familiar local reefs, and you finish certified to enjoy the marine life that emerges after dusk.
The PADI Night Diver specialty includes three dives and counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating. Dives are scheduled around tide and current windows to keep night conditions safe and enjoyable.
Night training uses calmer, familiar reef sites such as Veligandu East and Holhi Faru, dived at slack tide so currents stay manageable in the dark. After sunset the reefs reveal hunting moray eels, sleeping turtles, crustaceans and active reef fish, with the steadiest evening conditions from November to April.
