PADI Night Diver can be taken as a standalone specialty, and the first dive may credit toward the Advanced Open Water course. It counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
Night dives use Mahe's calm, sheltered reefs near Beau Vallon, where after dark octopus, lobster and moray eels become active over the granite and coral in warm 26-30C water. Calmer evenings around April-May and September-November suit night diving best.
