The PADI Rescue Diver course in Hurghada makes you a more confident, self-aware diver, able to prevent and manage problems for yourself and others. You practise tired-diver tows, surface rescues and underwater searches on calm Red Sea reefs and from day boats, learning to think like a rescuer in warm, forgiving water. Many divers call it the most rewarding course in recreational diving, and it is the step before professional training.
This is the PADI Rescue Diver certification. It requires a current Emergency First Response (CPR/first aid) credential and is a mandatory step before the PADI Divemaster professional rating.
Rescue exercises use the calm, shallow shore reefs and day-boat sites around Hurghada, where warm water (22-29C) and steady conditions let you focus on technique rather than fighting the environment. The protected lagoons and gentle reef tops work well for staged emergency scenarios.
