Often called the most rewarding recreational course, PADI Rescue Diver trains you to prevent and manage emergencies in the open conditions of the Red Sea. Most of the training happens in open water rather than a pool, with realistic scenarios run on Sharm El Sheikh reefs where warm water and easy access make practice safe. You finish as a calmer, more capable buddy ready to help others.
PADI requires a current EFR or equivalent CPR/first-aid certification before the course, delivers theory via eLearning, and issues a PADI Rescue Diver card that is a prerequisite for Divemaster.
Sharm's sheltered reefs and easy shore and boat entries give controlled but realistic settings for surface and underwater rescues, with calm water, 20-30m visibility and quick access to emergency facilities. The mix of reef, currents and entry types mirrors real diving challenges.
