Become a calmer, more capable diver with the PADI Rescue Diver course in Tarkarli-Malvan, learning to prevent and manage dive emergencies and assist other divers. The sheltered, shallow bay beside Sindhudurg Fort and the calm Konkan conditions are a practical setting to drill self-rescue, tired-diver tows and missing-diver searches before applying them in open-water scenarios.
PADI Rescue Diver is widely regarded as the most rewarding recreational course and is a prerequisite for the PADI Divemaster rating. Current Emergency First Response (CPR and first aid) training is required and can be completed alongside.
Rescue skills and scenarios are run in the sheltered, shallow bay off Tarkarli and Malvan, beside Sindhudurg Fort. The water is warm at 26-29C, and in the post-monsoon October-to-May season the Konkan coast stays calm and clear, so you can focus on technique rather than fighting current.
