The PADI Scuba Diver certification is a subset of the Open Water course, ideal if you are short on time but want a real qualification to dive in Baa Atoll, Maldives. You complete the first portions of knowledge and confined water plus two open-water dives near Dharavandhoo, certifying to dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a PADI professional.
PADI Scuba Diver is a recognised certification covering the first half of the Open Water Diver course. It qualifies you to dive to 12 metres under PADI professional supervision and can be upgraded to full Open Water Diver at any time.
Training dives use the calm, shallow house reefs around Dharavandhoo in Baa Atoll, where warm 27-30°C water and good visibility provide a friendly setting to earn this entry-level certification.
