The PADI Scuba Diver course in Rasdhoo Atoll gets you certified in less time. It is a sub-certification that lets you dive to 12 metres under the supervision of a dive professional. If your trip is short, it is a good fit: it covers the first portion of the Open Water program on the island's calm reefs and can be upgraded to full Open Water later.
PADI Scuba Diver is a recognised sub-certification that qualifies you to dive to 12 metres with a PADI professional. It represents roughly the first half of the Open Water course and upgrades directly to full PADI Open Water Diver later.
Scuba Diver training uses the calm, shallow reefs near the island, such as Veligandu East and Three Palm, where gentle conditions and visibility above 25 metres suit new divers. Turtles and reef fish are common companions, with the calmest water from November to April.
