Learn to explore sunken structures with the PADI Wreck Diver specialty at Kovalam, applying wreck-diving techniques on sites off the Kerala coast in the warm Arabian Sea. You practise mapping, careful navigation around the Kovalam-area sites and safe penetration planning under instructor guidance, down to 30 metres. You finish certified as a PADI Wreck Diver.
The PADI Wreck Diver specialty involves four dives and counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. Limited penetration is taught with proper lines and procedures; full overhead penetration requires further technical training.
Wreck training runs on suitable structures and reef sites off the Kovalam coast in the Arabian Sea. The calm post-monsoon season, roughly October to March, and warm 27-30°C water give the best access and visibility.
