The PADI Wreck Diver specialty in Mauritius explores the structures and topography of the west coast, where the reef is shaped by an ancient lava flow and dotted with dramatic features. Over four dives from Flic-en-Flac you learn safe wreck-diving techniques, from mapping and penetration lines to managing buoyancy and silt in confined spaces. You finish certified to dive wrecks responsibly to a depth of 30 metres.
The PADI Wreck Diver specialty involves four training dives and counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating. Combined with Deep Diver it prepares you for the deeper wreck sites found around the island.
The west coast around Flic-en-Flac sits on an ancient lava-flow seabed with caverns, swim-throughs and structure, and the calm November-to-April season gives the steady conditions and good visibility that suit wreck and structure dives.
