Course overview

Expand your skills with the SSI Advanced Adventurer course in Hikkaduwa, which extends your range to 30 metres across five adventure dives. Diving the town's coral gardens, deeper ledges and shipwrecks on Sri Lanka's south coast, you sample five specialty areas including deep and navigation. You finish certified as an SSI Advanced Adventurer, ready to explore a wider range of sites.

What you’ll learn

• Dive to 30 metres on the deep adventure dive

• Sample five specialty disciplines in open water
• Refine buoyancy, trim and air management
• Apply deeper-water planning and gas management
• Gain confidence on reef, wreck and night sites

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 12 (Junior) or 15 for full certification
• SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• Comfortable with basic scuba skills
• Diver medical clearance signed by a physician

Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day1
   Deep & navigation dives

   Complete the deep adventure dive toward 30 metres and the navigation dive on Hikkaduwa's deeper reef sites.
2. Day2
   Adventure dives & certification

   Three further adventure dives, such as wreck, night or buoyancy, on local reefs and wrecks to certify.
