Take your first breaths underwater with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Ambon on the Banda Sea. With an instructor beside you the whole time, you practise a handful of basic skills in shallow water and make a guided dive to a maximum of 12 metres over a gentle local reef, no certification or experience required.
SSI Try Scuba is an introductory experience rather than a certification, delivered through the SSI digital system with a professional at your side. Skills completed can be credited toward the SSI Open Water Diver course if you continue.
Intro dives use the calm, shallow reef edges of Ambon Bay, where warm 27-29°C water, sheltered conditions and rich critter life make a perfect first dive. The bay can be dived all year.
