Course overview

Experience breathing underwater for the first time with the SSI Try Scuba experience in Komodo, a guided introduction with no certification required. After a friendly briefing and basic skill practice you dive a calm, sheltered reef under your instructor's close watch, meeting tropical fish and coral. It is a memorable first taste of Komodo's underwater world.

What you’ll learn

• Breathe naturally underwater on scuba
• Equalise and descend to shallow depth
• Clear your mask and manage your regulator
• Maintain basic buoyancy and move underwater
• Use simple underwater hand signals
• Enjoy a guided reef dive with an instructor

Prerequisites

• Minimum age 10
• No experience or swimming certification required
• Reasonable health and comfort in water
• Brief medical questionnaire (physician sign-off if any condition applies)
