The SSI Divemaster certification at Netrani Island is your entry into the dive profession. Netrani is a reef reached by boat from Murdeshwar on the Karnataka coast. SSI uses flexible, performance-based training, and you develop dive-leadership skills, theory and stamina while guiding and assisting on the island's clear boat dives. You graduate as a certified SSI Divemaster, qualified to lead certified divers and support instructors professionally.
SSI Divemaster is a recognised professional rating earned through SSI's flexible, digital, performance-based system. Certification is issued under an SSI Training Centre and, once complete, opens the path toward the SSI Dive Control Specialist and Open Water Instructor ratings.
Your internship runs on the boat dives to Netrani Island from Murdeshwar. The reef slopes from about 5 to 30 metres, visibility is reliable and large fish schools gather, which makes a solid training ground. The October-to-April season gives the steadiest conditions for leadership and mapping workshops.
