Course overview

Gain essential emergency skills with the SSI React Right course in the Seychelles, a non-diving CPR and first-aid programme that takes a day at the dive centre near Beau Vallon. React Right is the first-aid foundation for SSI's rescue and professional ratings and prepares you to manage emergencies on land or at the dive site. You finish certified in primary and secondary care.

What you’ll learn

• Provide CPR and rescue breathing for a non-responsive patient
• Deliver first aid for injuries, bleeding and shock
• Assess and secure an emergency scene safely
• Use barriers, AED and emergency oxygen where available
• Perform patient assessment and ongoing care
• Respond calmly and effectively in real emergencies

Prerequisites

• No prior experience or certification required
• Open to divers and non-divers
• No swimming ability or medical clearance required
• Suitable for all ages per SSI standards
