Stay down longer and dive with bigger safety margins on the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox specialty in the Seychelles, where Mahe operators are well set up for nitrox training. The course teaches you to analyse, plan and dive with oxygen-enriched mixes, which suit extending bottom time on the deeper granite walls and pinnacles. You finish certified to dive enriched air, with an optional dive on a 40 percent mix.
SSI Enriched Air Nitrox is delivered digitally and can be taken alongside the Open Water course or later. It certifies you to dive enriched air up to 40 percent oxygen, counts toward SSI Specialty Diver and Master Diver recognition, and is recorded in your SSI app.
Nitrox extends your time on Mahe's deeper granite pinnacles like the Shark Bank and outer walls, where longer no-stop limits mean more time with sharks and pelagic life in 26-30C water. The best deep-site visibility comes in the April-May and September-November windows.
