Across the muck of the Twilight Zone, the Coral Gardens and the Hesperus wreck, small guided groups bring you face to face with the endemic Ambon Frogfish, nudibranchs and reef life, pure diving, no course.
SSI fun dives are guided recreational dives for certified divers and carry no certification, though dives can be logged digitally in the MySSI app. Your certification and experience set the sites and depths available; deeper or current-prone sites need Advanced Adventurer or equivalent.
Fun dives cover Ambon Bay's muck and reef, the Twilight Zone, Coral Gardens and the Hesperus wreck, in warm 27-29°C water with moderate currents. Critter diving is good all year; open Banda Sea liveaboard crossings run mainly March-April and September-November for the hammerhead schools.
