Guided SSI fun dives off the west coast let you dive Mauritius's signature reefs as a certified diver. Out of Flic-en-Flac you can explore the cavern-and-wall Cathedral, the rocky Aquarium and the fish-rich Snake Reef, with deeper safari dives toward the south pass and northern reefs where blacktip and other reef sharks gather. Multi-dive packages let you sample the island's variety with a local guide.
Guided fun dives require a recognised certification such as SSI Open Water Diver, with your digital credential viewable in the SSI app. Depth follows your certification level, and a refresher is recommended after a long break from diving.
