Earn a globally recognised certification with the SSI Open Water Diver course in Ambon on the Banda Sea, training amid world-class critter and macro diving. Through the SSI digital system and four open-water dives in calm Ambon Bay you qualify to dive to 18 metres with a buddy anywhere in the world.
SSI Open Water Diver is a globally recognised entry-level certification, delivered through the free MySSI app with digital academics and a digital certification card. It qualifies you to dive to 18 metres with a buddy and leads into the SSI Advanced Adventurer programme.
Training uses the calm, shallow reefs of Ambon Bay, where warm 27-29°C water and exceptional critter life make a great first certification. The bay is sheltered year-round, with the open Banda Sea best in March-April and September-November.
